Last weekend I woke up at 10:30am to check out Bay to Breakers from Golden Gate Park. It was pretty packed, and the rules were a lot more strict this year. No visible alcoholic beverages, but I think if you concealed it . . . it’s okay! And like every other year, there were those in birthday suits that shouldn’t be in it. The Conservatory of Flowers was a good place to watch the event.
My brother and Gabby had spotted out this abandoned building in the Presidio area. I’m not sure what the building was used for, but a police officer did come up to us and asked us what we were doing. Maybe aliens are stored here. Who knows.
The gloomy day proceeded, but we did manage to get a peak of sunshine here and there. The white was a nice backdrop for Gabby’s outfit though!
After enduring the cold for a while at the Presidio, Eugene and Gabby wanted to head somewhere warm so I suggested Mission Pie since the interior design had a cozy and cute feeling. And I knew the lighting was great in there! Besides, I wanted some chai and some delicious pie myself. Ha.
And then we moved outside for some more shots.
And since they both love photography, they thought it’d be cute to express that during our session. Also self-portraits happen a lot when it’s only them two traveling often, and there’s no one around to take a photo for them so I took a photo of them taking a photo of themselves!
They are to be wed Oct this year.

After 18 years or so of courtship, my brother and Gabby are finally engaged! I had the honor of taking their engagement session for them. I can’t wait for the wedding later this year! And no, I will not be photographing their special day; I’m a bridesmaid!
Congrats again, you two lovebirds! And Gabby, welcome to the family!
I finally got my 50mm f1/4 lense, and this is the first shot I took with it! Hobbie has been my pet since I was 6-years-old, but my parents take care of him in San Jose since my landlord doesn’t allow me to have pets.
My friends and I had lunch at Mama Chen because Jonas wanted to introduce taiwanese food for his audition to Taiwan Challenge. You can see all the dishes we ordered below!
Afterwards we got snow ice! It was delicious, but not as delicious as the ones we got in Hawaii.
And then I went to Cupertino’s Cherry Blossom Festival to see an aikido performance, and I got to catch some of the Hawaiian performance too! It was warm day in Cupertino, so we got some smoothies. The sweet lemonade drink was a little too sweet for me; I ended up getting a minor headache.
The next day we had lunch at Liang’s Village Cuisine where they have my favorite beef noodle soup and green onion pankcake beef wrap. Yum.
